Farmers MarketThe Russell County Farmer’s Market is provided as a public service to local growers and residents as an outlet for the sale and purchase of quality products which are locally grown/produced. The Farmer’s Market originally began operating in Lebanon, Virginia and continues to operate in the Chamber of Commerce Parking lot located at 331 West Main Street, Lebanon (adjacent to First Bank & Trust) each Saturday morning between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon. In 2007 the market expanded to Dante, Virginia across from the former Clinchfield Offices. The Dante Farmer’s Market is open on Friday’s between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon. Providing two locations affords more of an opportunity for folks in separate areas of the county to be able to sell or purchase products closer to home. Business licensing or permits are not required for vendors conforming to market guidelines. All products must be grown or produced by the seller. The seller is responsible for any applicable tax obligations. Did you know...The farmer’s market is open to all local growers/crafters/gardeners/horticulturists? Products which can be sold at the farmer’s market include:
